Actually all four of the main team members surnames are references to other languages/cultures.
Nekonna is a combination of the words neko-cat and onna-woman
Kataki is Japanese for revenge/enemy
Tarea is spainish for homework
and Masamune is of course a famous swordsmith
...I'm slow. I just realised Synthy's last name had"Neko" as a part of her name...
